Jennifer Mackie

An observational artist with an unrelenting fascination for light and movement. Jennifer paints predominantly in oils and  splits her time between painting in her home studio in Forfar and painting en plain air in the Angus Glens and on the coasts of Scotland. She enjoys the urgency of trying to capture the ever changing light and mood of a place.  Her eye for detail combined with her bold yet selective brush strokes create the unfolding drama of that landscape, capturing these moments makes for powerful and lasting impressions of that  time and place.
